Fritz Yambrach, PhD
Fritz is the Director of Packaging in San Jose State University with over 40 years experience in the Packaging industry. His experience includes all areas of Packaging, flexible packaging, materials and manufacturing, supply chain and many years of experience in consulting with international firms solving problems using innovative thinking. Dr. Yambrach currently lives in Menlo Park, CA. and is a former USPTA tennis instructor and nationally ranked tennis player.

Eric is the Founder and CEO of Bonfire Wines LLC. Prior to Bonfire Wines, Eric worked for a global packaging company, developed and sold new and revised packaging concepts for both small and major food & beverage companies, including Nestle North America, Green Mountain Coffee, and Ocean Spray Cranberries. Eric has worked closely with liquid packaging for everything from chemicals to food and beverages, including applesauce, fruit & vegetable purees for baby foods, coffee, alcohol and other beverage products. Eric, a native of Philadelphia, PA received a B.S. in Packaging Science from the College of Applied Science & Technology at Rochester Institute of Technology. He currently resides in San Diego where he enjoys playing and composing music, traveling, and adventure sports. Eric is passionate about promoting clean water distribution in affected countries.

Human Centered Design & Insights
Michael brings his experience as a business and innovation oriented Industrial Designer, connector, and self-starting "intrapreneur" with packaging design and engineering experience across FMCG & CPG including the, Eyewear, Premium Beauty, and Toy Industries. As a practitioner of applied Design Thinking, Michael's core interest is learning from user interaction, fostering empathy, qualitative research, and designing the Water Vest technology to address core user needs that are both visible and unspoken. Michael graduated RIT, Industrial Design in 2004. He is a proud Brooklyn resident and works in New York City. Michael has a wide range on interests including, architecture, science fiction and science reality, African diaspora in Latin America, early electronic/disco music and eyewear design.

Sal is the VP of Innovation and Marketing for ProAmpac (www.proampac.com). ProAmpac is a premier global flexible packaging manufacturer with a focus on providing innovative solutions to the market. Sal loves how ProAmpac operates on the four I principles of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement. In fact, the Fritz Water Vest Project is a perfect venture that embodies these principles. Sal’s current position is focused on both short term incremental innovation as well as longer term, breakthrough innovative projects. ProAmpac has won a host of packaging awards as a testimony of the company’s innovative spirit. Sal also teaches Packaging Technology as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati’s Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology schools. He is a frequent industry speaker and holds 14 US patents. He brings a wealth of packaging material, design, and application knowledge to the project. Sal, a native of Rochester, NY, received a B.S. in Packaging Science and MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. He currently resides in Cincinnati where he enjoys photography, cooking, and travel. Sal has a passion for helping others in need and has made three trips to assist Haitians in rebuilding after the earthquake there.

Mike is a technical expert within printing and packaging having spent his career in customer facing roles. He spent several thousand nights traveling primarily in North America but also in Latin America, Europe and Asia. Mike has a history of developing solutions for two paper/pulp mills: Avery Dennison and a start-up in 1997 called Yupo Corporation America. Throughout his career, Mike has had leading roles that range from Technical Development, Technical Services to Sales and Business Development. RIT Bachelor of Science in Printing Management and Sciences concentration in Packaging Sciences. William & Mary: MBA. Mike currently resides in Chesapeake, VA where he is raising family of five kids, 3 dogs, and five chickens. He enjoys spending free time serving others: supporting HOLA (Helping Orphans in Latin America), Amigos for Christ in Nicaragua, volunteering at a local Detention Center, and teaching Sunday school.
